Sha Cage is a director, writer and performer. Her work has taken her across the U.S, to South Africa, England, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Mali, and Canada. She is a recipient of a Regional Emmy, an Ivey Award, a McKnight Fellowship, and a distinguished Fox/TCG Fellowship. She has been named one of the leading artists of her generation by Insight, a Changemaker by Women's Press, and best solo performer by City Pages for her role as the pilot in Frank Theater's Grounded (2015 Ivey). Star Tribune called her a 2014 Mover and Maker and Mpls St. Paul magazine named her and artistic partner E.G. Bailey 2015 Power Couple of the Year. Her solo show titled U/G/L/Y was presented by the Guthrie in September and tours in the U.S. and UK through 2016. Shá is an advocate for sex trafficking victims and the proud mother of two. Noted theater roles include: Prince Hal in Ten Thousand Thing's Henry IV, Mamie in Penumbra’s Ballad of Emmett Till, Lady Capulet in the Guthrie’s Romeo and Juliet, and the pilot in Frank Theater's Grounded. She directs regularly at the Playwright Center and most recently directed Neighbors at the MN History Theater as well as an acclaimed run of the popular play School Girls for the Jungle Theatre. She directs Three Little Birds at the Children's Theater in January.

E.G. Bailey is an Ivey award-winning writer/director, filmmaker and producer. He is the recipient of a regional Emmy, LIN travel grant, and the Hughes, Diop, Knight Poetry Award from the Gwendolyn Brooks Writers Conference. His work is featured in the Target Art Connects commercial, now archived at the Museum of Modern Art (NYC). He was an editor for the film, Petting Zoo, which debuted at the 65th International Berlin Film Festival. Bailey has directed plays for well-known production houses, such as: The Guthrie, Pillsbury House, and Children’s Theatres. Titles include: Othello, Amiri Baraka’s Wise Why’s, Juno and the Paycock, The Brother Size, and Sha Cage’s N-Word and U/G/L/Y. He is the co-founder of Tru Ruts Endeavors and the MN Spoken Word Association. Bailey’s latest work includes the co-curation of America Now!, a special film project which has taken place at the Tampere Film Festival in Finland, Latvia and others; and his film, New Neighbors, was selected for the 2017 Sundance film festival. He is also a recipient of the 2018 McKnight Artist Media Arts Fellowship, and a semifinalist for a national screenwriting competition, judged by an Oscar-winning director. He regularly directs for film and his last stage direction was DOT at Park Square Theater.

Gabriele Angieri is a Twin Cities based actor who has appeared locally and nationally in Film, Theatre, Television and Commercial work. He has appeared on stage at Park Square Theatre, Gremlin Theatre, Frank Theatre, Nimbus Theatre, Open Window Theatre, Zephyr and the Guthrie Dowling Studio Theatre, as well as starring in a regional tour of “Tuesday’s with Morrie”last year. Gabriele has been featured in the locally produced, award winning films, “Profile of a Killer” and “Twin Cities”. He is proud to call Minnesota his home for the past 30 years.

Pascha Fountain is making her theater debut here in Minneapolis and on the Mixed Blood stage. In high school, she displayed a natural ability to perform as she participated in choir and was a cheerleader. Although loud, boisterous and comfortable in front of crowds, she shied away from drama class and high school productions. Pascha has always had an appreciation for the arts, however it was her Film History and Appreciation class, in college, that piqued her interest in acting. In 2005, she was cast as “Grace” and August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson, presented by the John Beasley Theater in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Fourteen years later, Pascha’s desire to act has remained and she is thrilled about this opportunity. She is extremely thankful for the love, support and encouragement from family and friends and even more thankful to the theater community for welcoming her.

MadelineKarita has represented major corporations and their products though selling, illustrating, promoting, and demonstrating product benefits. As a spokesmodel, she has traveled throughout the United States and the world.

Paul Economon has worked in the Twin Cities acting Community for over 25 years. performing from Theatre de la Jeune Lune to the theatre in the round players. He has been featured in many films, commercials, Billboards, magazines and voice-overs. Finally, Paul wants to thank William, Suzanne, EG, and Sha for the opportunity to perform this wonderful role here at the Mixed blood theatre.

Rex Isom, Jr. has performed at several Twin City venues, including Penumbra, History Theatre and CTC. He's also performed improvisation comedy for over 20 years, and he is currently a performer/tech at Stevie Ray's Improv Cabaret. in Minneapolis. You see Rex in a few local commercials as well. He's very proud to be in his second ever Fringe performance!

Laura Esping is a Twin Cities actor and educator who has performed with many local companies including the Guthrie, Park Square, Pillsbury House, History Theatre, Old Log Theatre, Penumbra, Illusion Theatre, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, Minnesota Shakespeare Theatre, and At the Foot of the Mountain Women’s Theatre. As an educator she works at the Guthrie in their summer camp programs, Schools on Stage, library programs, special community request classes, acting levels I and II and does private coaching. Laura holds a BA from the University of Iowa and an MFA from the University of Minnesota. She is thrilled to be back at Yellow Tree having joined them for Clybourne Park, and Death of a Salesman

Jiccarra N. Hollman is an American actress, international model, host motivational speaker, emcee and public figure from Minnesota. She is a graduate of St. Catherine University with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Communication Studies. December 2018, she graduated receiving her degree and commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Army the next day. She is most recently known as Captain Hollman in the United States Air Force. As an entrepreneur and a philanthropist, Hollman owns and manages Living On Purpose, a recovery accountability community and transitions home. Her home provides residency and support to families as they get through that tough hump in life. Her motto is, “Stop Living to Exist and Start Living On Purpose.” As a community leader and ambassador, Hollman promotes action by getting deep into the trauma that plagues communities through her volunteer service of giving back to the homeless and sharing her gifts. Hollman began her career in entertainment at age 11 with community events, plays and talent shows. She auditioned and worked in promotions and marketing. Her family learned of John Robert Powers and paid for classes in hopes it will take her career to the next level. After feeling disappointed in the amount of additional money requested for further representation, she gave up acting to be a kid again. She’s a regular presenter at her church Shiloh Temple International Ministries. Members prophesied that she has a gift of tongue, shining personality, is charismatic, influential and not just motivating but activating. Again, she is ignited and motivated to share her gift and inspire.

Dameun Maurice Strange is a sound artist, multi-instrumentalist, and award winning composer whose conceptual chamber works, choral pieces and operas are focused on stories of the African diaspora, often exploring afro surrealist and afrofuturist themes. Strange is compelled to express through sound and poetry, the beauty and resilience of the Black experience, digging into a pantheon of ancestors to tell stories of triumph, while connecting the past, present, and future. While his sound experiments have many dimensions, he often uses West African polyrhythms, with classical music forms, contemporary jazz harmonic explorations, along with found sounds and historic recordings to create modern afrofuturist performances that disrupt the notion of genre. Dameun currently explores using graphics scores and improvisational new music with his octet, Temple of the Nu. Dameun lives in Saint Paul, MN with his wife, Corina and son, Ezra. Like any good nerd, he enjoys a good sci-fi story and has a soft spot for anything related to astrophysics.
